Post Road Chorus is a friendly, welcoming women’s chorus based in Central Massachusetts, drawing members from Shrewsbury, Boylston, Northborough, Holden, Auburn, Millbury, Worcester, and other surrounding towns. Our members span every age and walk of life, united by a love of four-part a cappella harmony sung in the barbershop style — and by the lasting friendships we build along the way. Our repertoire ranges widely, from standards and show tunes to ballads and contemporary pieces.

What Post Road Chorus members love about our chorus

The women of Post Road Chorus are mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, professionals, retirees, and students—and maybe even YOU! Whether you’re searching for a women’s singing group, a warm social community, or a creative outlet, you’ll find encouragement, connection, and plenty of joy here.

If you’d like to bring more music, friendship, and happiness into your life, come visit a rehearsal and experience it for yourself. Spend an evening making music with new friends — and leave more energized than when you arrived.

Post Road Chorus was chartered in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts in 1986 as a Region 1 chapter of SingUnited International (formerly Sweet Adelines International). For nearly forty years, we’ve pursued our mission to perfect and share the art of four-part a cappella singing across Central Massachusetts. Today the chorus performs under the direction of Ray Johnson.

We’re a close-knit community chorus where everyone pitches in — from choosing our music and arranging performances to planning the all-important refreshments. Every member brings her own talents to keep us singing!
