2023 Recap
1/26/2024 - Happy Winter from Post Road Chorus of Worcester, MA - we hope you are staying cozy and warm. We’ve been rather busy the past 6 months, and we love it!
In July, many of us attended the 4-Part Frenzy in Florence, MA, and had a fun day singing tags in quartets with singers from all over the region.

We sang the National Anthem, once again, at a Bravehearts’ August baseball game at Holy Cross College in Worcester, and then stayed to enjoy the game.
On a lovely September evening, we enjoyed an outdoor rehearsal in Elm Park, in Worcester, which was followed by an after-glow at a nearby restaurant. Our chorus opened a musical afternoon at StART on the Street in Worcester in mid-September, singing 8-10 of our favorite songs, with audience members joining in for the most familiar parts. Later in September, those who attended the Regional Weekend, Colors of Harmony, found it to be both informative and inspiring.
In October, we hosted a well-attended ‘Ladies’ Night’ (Guest Night) where we invited our guests to learn about our group and to sing with us. We had great food and a good time. We had a lot of fun at our Halloween-themed rehearsal on Halloween as well.
On November 12th, it felt good to perform at an Assisted Living Facility for an appreciative and enthusiastic audience. In November, also, we experienced a hugely successful mini-brigade, thanks to Meg’s efforts. And, thanks to Elaine’s efforts, we fed everyone well! We, in addition to our director’s men’s chorus, had been invited to learn a part to 1-4 songs (over the course of a few weeks) and to sing them that evening in mixed and matched quartets. It was great fun and a wonderful opportunity to sing in a new quartet and with tremendous “audience” support.
A mild-December presented itself for 2 holiday repertoire performances at Briarwood. We sang as a chorus, had a couple of quartets perform, and enjoyed some delicious desserts with our guests. At the end of December, we had a wonderful time socializing at Karen’s house.
Karen has worked diligently revamping our website which not only looks great but is easier to navigate. We’re learning new songs and preparing for Contest in May.
We hope you enjoyed the Winter Whatchamacallit in Amherst, and we look forward to sharing our passion for singing with you at Part II in Westborough, MA in February!
