About Us

The women of Post Road Chorus are your mothers, your sisters, your aunts, your daughters, your grandmothers. If you're looking to satisfy your need for music in your life as well as looking for a group of new friends, we hope you'll join us for one of our rehearsals and learn what it's like to work all evening on music and walk out more energized than when you arrived.

Post Road Chorus, a Region 1 chapter of Sweet Adelines International, was chartered in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts in 1986. The chorus is now based in Worcester, Massachusetts under the leadership of our director, Ray Johnson.

Post Road Chorus is a group of friendly, enthusiastic women of all ages from varied backgrounds who share their love of four-part a cappella music sung in the barbershop style. Our music includes a large repertoire of standards, show tunes, ballads and contemporary pieces.

Many of Post Road's members also participate in its daytime chorus (the Post Notes). The Post Notes are available for daytime singouts - please see the "Contact Us" page for more information. A number of our members are also dual members with other Region One Sweet Adelines choruses, or are members of active Sweet Adelines quartets.

We encourage you to explore our website to learn more about the Post Road Chorus - and to come join us at any Tuesday night rehearsal, either as a listener or a potential member. Visitors are always welcome!
